Steve Chinn, Senior Plant Manager, Alpro

Steve Chinn is the Site Manager of Alpro UK, a company that produces soya drinks, primarily for UK markets. Alpro is a very successful, growing international Belgium company supplying Europe and expanding further.

Steve has worked for Alpro for two and a half years, having spent one year at Uniq (chilled prepared foods) and three years at Allied Bakeries. He left school at sixteen, completed a 4 year Engineering Apprenticeship, obtained a BSc in Materials Science from Birmingham University and then worked for Rolls Royce Aerospace for ten years. During this period Steve completed a graduate training scheme then trained as a Manufacturing Engineer and completed an MSc in Manufacturing Management. Steve has been married for 20 years, has 3 children. He lives in Shrewsbury during weekends and works away from home during the week. Steve’s hobbies include keeping fit (swimming, running, gym), golf, reading and eating out.
