Alk Brand, Chief Executive Officer, Bokomo Foods
Alk Brand was born in Cape Town in South Africa and is the Chief Executive Officer of Bokomo Foods, based in Wellingborough.
He graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with a Bachelors Degree in Finance and Economics and then an Honours Degree in Industrial Psychology and Marketing. He also holds a MBA degree. Alk joined Pioneer Foods after University and moved to the UK in January 2001 when Pioneer Foods started the cereal business here. Alk is married to Patricia and he lives in Rushden in Northamptonshire. His job entails substantial international travel, but in his spare time he enjoys all sport, reading and entertaining friends. He is a loyal supporter of the Northampton Saints but his favourite football team is Arsenal.
Northampton is easily reached via good railway connections from any part of the country and is close to four major airports and London. People here are friendly and it's relatively easy to get access to every commercial resource needed. Northamptonshire has very pretty villages, nice places to relax and it's easy to travel from home to work.
