RML Win Business of the Year Award
The MIA Business Awards were instituted in 1995 to recognise excellence at all levels within the motorsport industry. The awards were presented during the MIA Industry Awards Dinner, organised in conjunction with the Autosport International Show at the NEC, Birmingham and watched by over five hundred representatives from the international motorsport community.
Ray Mallock commented "I am delighted to receive this award on behalf of the RML workforce. It is a reflection of the whole team's achievements during the last year. "
About RML
The RML Group comprises six divisions; Motorsport, Automotive, Engines, Historic, Events and X-Pro. Based in Northamptonshire, England the company's 4,300 square metre includes full design, development, manufacturing and operational support for international race/rally programmes and automotive engineering projects including performance engine development.
Since its formation in 1984 RML has achieved success in a diverse range of motorsport categories including GT/sportscars, touring cars, rally cars, single seaters and oval speedway cars. In 2009 RML teams will compete in the FIA World Touring Car Championship with the new Chevrolet Cruze, the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Le Mans Series with the Mazda Lola Coupe. For the second year RML will also build and support all of the cars for the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 GT Trophy Series.
