Tandy Leather Factory, who recently opened their new UK branch in Northampton, enjoyed a guided tour around the Univeristy of Northampton's leather department last month.
The aim of the visit was to help Tandy Leather Factory broaden its business contacts in the county abd encourage the two parties to discuss mutually beneficial opportunities.
Michael Folkard, from Invest Northamptonshire, co-ordinated the visit between Tandy Leather Factory and the Associate Dean of Applied Sciences at the University, Dr Mark Wilkinson.
Michael Fokard commented: "The visit was fascinating - watching how leather is tanned, beaten and split to give us the results we see in our day to day lives was remarkable. It was also incredibly interesting talking to the highly skilled restoration team at the University of Northampton and admiring the historic car they were meticulously working on."
