We are very proud to announce that we have two new Ambassadors for Northamptonshire:
Mr Mike Costin, co founder of Cosworth Engineering, has taken on the role of honorary Ambassador. Cosworth Engineering produced a staggeringly successful series of Ford-based cars and Ford-sponosred engines. From 1960 to 1983 it not only won a record 155 World Championship-qualifying Grand Prix races, but dominated international Formula 2, Formula 3 and Formula Junior.
Mr Martin Sutherland, CEO of the Royal and Derngate Theatres, is our newest member of the Ambassadors Programme. Martin was director of the Corn Exchange from 2003 and responsible for strategic planning, fundraising and programming. Before then he was a successful producer, developing more than 50 theatre and comedy productions that toured the country.
Julia Schumacher, Ambasadors Programme Manager, commented:
"I am delighted with how the programme is gaining momentum, not only are we bringing on board more influential Ambassadors, we are also seeing a real increase in activity, with members supporting and participating in a programme of events that enables them to understand and promote the many different business and tourism opportunities around Northamptonshire. April will see the Ambassadors focusing on the county's primary industry ssector - logistics, and the impact this has on the local economy."
