CHEVROLET CRUZE SHOWS GOOD PACE IN DEBUT
The Chevrolet Cruze showed good pace and excellent potential throughout the opening round of the FIA World Touring Car Championship season opener, The Race of Brazil, at Curitiba today. Nicola Larini finished an excellent fifth in Race 1, the team had their fare share of controversy however when the Stewards inflicted an arguable penalty of 30 seconds to Nicola, and four other competitors, for not keeping his line during the restart after a period under safety-car in Race 1. Alain was the innocent victim of the Curitiba first lap contact which put an end to his race and Rob Huff was stopped by a broken throttle
cable.
In Race 2, on a rain soaked track, the three Cruzes showed excellent pace with Alain
Menu winning fastest lap and despite two cars starting from the back of the grid they
progressed well to finish a respectable 11th, 13th and 15th position.
